2024-25 Sky Bet Championship: Week 39 – Saturday

Hull meet Luton in a relegation six-pointer showdown at the foot of the Championship table.

Victory will lift Hull up to 16th ahead of the mid-afternoon kick-offs, whilst Luton will stay second-bottom but a win would put the Hatters just one point from safety.

Team News

Cody Drameh is available for Hull following his recovery from a knee injury, which saw him sit out their 1-1 draw at West Brom before the international break.

Gustavo Puerta is back from his one-match ban but Joao Pedro is serving the last of his three-match suspension.

Louie Barry (knee), Mohamed Belloumi, Eliot Matazo, Liam Millar (all ACL) and Oscar Zambrano (personal) remain absent.

Luton will be without Jacob Brown for the remainder of this season with an ankle injury.

Shandon Baptiste (calf), Tom Lockyer (ankle), Teden Mengi and Marvelous Nakamba (both knee) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Hull face Luton at MKM Stadium on Saturday 29 March at 12:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.

Prediction

With just one defeat in their last seven games, Hull have moved away from the drop zone but consecutive wins continue to evade them so this is a chance to build on their momentum after they snatched a clinical but deserved draw at West Brom.

Luton meanwhile really could do with a win here to kick-start their run-in on a positive note given their current four-point gap to safety – after a positive upturn in form and a well-fought point against Middlesbrough, otherwise they face an uphill struggle given how harder their remaining games look on paper.

Either way both teams really need a win here in their push for survival but if Luton play like they did against Boro but with better end product, I can see them having the edge providing that they can get on the front foot and control this game.

Prediction: Hull 0-1 Luton

Result: Hull 0-1 Luton
