Fulham meet Crystal Palace in an all-London opening Quarter-Final tie of 2024-25 FA Cup.
Victory will see Fulham reach the semi-finals for the first time since 2001-02 season, whilst Palace chase a second appearance in the last four in four seasons.
Team News
Sasa Lukic is available for Fulham after he was suspended for their 2-0 Premier League victory at home to Tottenham.
Antonee Robinson (unspecified) is set to be available for selection but Harry Wilson (metatarsal), Kenny Tete (shin) and Reiss Nelson (hamstring) remain absent.
Palace could welcome Jean-Philippe Mateta back into contention after he missed their last outing – which saw them beat Ipswich in the league – due to a head injury picked up in their Fifth Round victory over Millwall.
Will Hughes is available for selection as his two-match only applies to league games but sickness could see him miss out.
Joel Ward (calf) could return but Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad (both knee) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Fulham host Palace at Craven Cottage on Saturday 29 March at 12:15pm GMT, live on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Fulham lost their only previous FA Cup tie against Palace which came in Second Round of 1906-07 FA Cup, as they drew 0-0 in the initial fixture then lost 1-0 in the replay.
- Palace drew 0-0 in their only previous FA Cup visit to Fulham in February 1907, before they won the replay 1-0 at home.
- Three of Fulham’s seven goals in this season’s FA Cup were scored by Rodrigo Muniz.
- Daniel Munoz has scored in each of Palace’s last two FA Cup matches (W2).
Prediction
Coming into this tie off the back of a brilliant league win at home to Tottenham, Fulham need to bring more of the same attacking intensity and patience – which was absent in their league defeat against Palace last month – if they’re to head to Wembley.
Palace though have had three whole weeks to prepare for this game despite the international break so it will be interesting to see if they start sharply or initially rusty, but they have Mateta back which is a huge positive after they grinded out a narrow top-flight win over Ipswich last time out without him.
My instinct though is that we’re in for a tough battle with the privilege of being the last London team standing at stake plus a semi-final spot in their chase for a maiden cup title, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this goes to extra-time with Palace scraping through given their current form.
Prediction: Fulham 1-2 (AET) Crystal Palace
Result: Fulham 0-3 Crystal Palace
