Wycombe Wanderers meet Wrexham in a crunch League One showdown in the race for promotion.
Currently sat second and third respectively on 68 points, Wycombe can stay second and move three points clear of their visitors.
Wrexham meanwhile can leapfrog their hosts into second with a win.
Team News
Xavier Simons is unavailable for Wycombe as he serves the last of a three-match suspension.
Daniel Harvie remains absent due to a knee injury suffered last month.
Wrexham will hand Sebastian Revan and Ryan Barnett late fitness tests after the pair suffered knocks in the club’s 2-0 midweek loss at Reading.
Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer are unlikely to be involved following their fall down the pecking order.
Andy Cannon (ACL), George Dobson (ankle), Callum Burton (thigh) and Luke Bolton (calf) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Wycombe host Wrexham at Adams’ Park on Saturday 15 March at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Wycombe have lost one of their last five meetings against Wrexham (W2, D2, L1).
- Wrexham are winless in their last six visits to Wycombe (D3, L3).
- Victory will see Wrexham achieve a first EFL double over Wycombe in a single season.
- Wycombe have kept clean sheets in their last three matches at home (W2, D1).
- No Wrexham players have been involved in more goals than Ryan Barnett (two goals & eight assists) and Elliott Lee (seven goals and three assists) this season.
Prediction
With just one loss in their last ten league matches and having kept clean sheets in their last three at home, Wycombe feel like slight favourites in terms of confidence and momentum but they can’t afford to underestimate how tricky this will be, and ideally need to just play like they’re currently doing.
Wrexham meanwhile were simply wasteful in their poor end product at Reading so a more composed clinical performance is needed, especially given their current striker issues off-pitch but they really should try and get something here if want to keep Wycombe within their sights in the run-in.
In fact given the importance of this game in the automatic promotion race, I can see both teams making a strong fight with a point apiece come the final whistle.
Prediction: Wycombe 1-1 Wrexham
Result: Wycombe 0-1 Wrexham
