Crystal Palace host top-four-chasing Aston Villa at Selhurst Park.
Victory or a draw will lift Palace up to 12th for at least 24 hours, whilst Villa can climb to fourth if Bournemouth and Chelsea both lose elsewhere.
Team News
Palace have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-0 away win at Fulham.
Cheick Doucoure, Chadi Riad (both knee) and Joel Ward (calf) remain sidelined.
Villa could be without Morgan Rogers after he suffered a knock in their comeback win at home to Chelsea.
Tyrone Mings (knee) is unlikely to feature but Axel Disasi is available for selection after he was ineligible to face his parent club last weekend.
Boubacar Kamara (muscle), Amadou Onana (thigh) and Pau Torres (metatarsal) remain sidelined,
When is Kick-Off?
Palace face Villa at Selhurst Park on Tuesday 25 February at 7:30pm GMT, live on TNT Sports 2 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Palace have claimed seven points in their last five league meetings against Villa (W2, D1, L2).
- Villa have won one of their last six visits to Palace (W1, L5).
- Jean-Philippe Mateta has scored four goals in Palace’s last two home games against Villa (W2).
- Palace have lost each of their last two home matches by 2-1 results (L2).
- Villa have claimed seven points in seven league visits to London-based opposition this season (W2, D1, L2).
Prediction
Although their away form has been superb so far in 2025, Palace’s home form has been contrastable with a lack of end product but I do hope that they can bring the intensity of their clinical win at Fulham into this game if want a result.
Villa though do seem to have found a fresh attacking edge following the arrivals of Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford and with squad rotation expected, I do expect Unai Emery’s Villains to be right up for this game if can continue to show the energy and quality which saw them come from behind to beat Chelsea.
Selhurst Park however is bit of a bogey ground for Villa in recent seasons but if Palace continue to be wasteful on their own turf, I can see Villa taking advantage if continue their solid goalscoring form of last two months.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-2 Aston Villa
Result: Crystal Palace 4-1 Aston Villa
