Relegation-battling Leicester City host Brentford in Friday Night Football in the 2024-25 Premier League.
Victory will lift Leicester out of the relegation zone, whilst Brentford can move up to tenth with a win.
Team News
James Justin is a huge doubt for Leicester after he suffered a foot injury in their 2-0 loss against Arsenal last weekend.
Abdul Fatawu (ACL) and Ricardo Pereira (muscle) remain absent.
Brentford will be without defender, Sepp van den Berg after he suffered a knee injury in their win at West Ham.
Josh Dasilva (knee), Gustavo Nunes (back), Igor Thiago (joint), Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey (both hamstring) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Leicester host Brentford on Friday 21 February at the King Power Stadium in a 8pm GMT kick-off, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Leicester have lost one of their five previous Premier League meetings against Brentford (W2, D2, L1).
- Brentford are winless in two previous Premier League visits to Leicester (D1, L1).
- Ex Leicester defender, Timothy Castagne scored in each of the Foxes’ two previous Premier League games at home to Brentford.
- Coming into this matchweek, James Justin has had more touches on the ball than any other Leicester player this season (1,399).
- Kevin Schade has scored one goal in each of Brentford’s three away matches in 2025 (W3).
Prediction
A simple slice of poor end product and small defensive errors cost Leicester last weekend because they were otherwise excellent in their counter-attacking play against Arsenal, but they really need to find their clinical edge at home if want to start winning in their fight for survival.
Brentford meanwhile are surely now focused on consolidating their mid-table position and will view this as winnable if they turn up and play as clinically as they did at West Han, although they can’t underestimate the under-pressure Foxes who know that a win over the Bees will do their confidence a lot of good.
I however just can’t see Brentford losing this given their better goalscoring consistency which surely will break Leicester’s resilient defence down come full-time.
Prediction: Leicester 0-2 Brentford
Result: Leicester 0-4 Brentford
