Relegation-battling Leicester City entertain Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium.
Victory could see Leicester climb out of the relegation zone if Wolves lose elsewhere, whilst Palace can go 13th with a win if West Ham lose on Tuesday evening to Fulham.
Team News
Jannik Vestergaard is set to return for Leicester if he passes a fitness check after missing their FA Cup victory over QPR.
Odsonne Edouard is ineligible to feature against his parent club.
Mads Hermansen (groin), Wilfried Ndidi (hamstring), Abdul Fatawu (ACL) and Ricardo Pereira (muscle) remain absent.
Palace will welcome Dean Henderson back into contention after he missed their FA Cup win over Stockport due to illness.
Will Hughes (foot) could also feature but Adam Wharton (groin), Matheus Franca (adductor) and Rob Holding (personal) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Leicester host Palace at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday 15 January at 7:30pm GMT, live on TNT Sports 4 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Leicester have won one of their last five meetings against Palace (W1, D3, L1).
- Palace have claimed seven points from their last six visits to Leicester (W2, D1, L3).
- Jean-Philippe Mateta has scored three goals in Palace’s last two meetings against Leicester.
- Wout Faes has made more blocks this season than any other Leicester player in the top-flight (18).
- No Palace players has been involved in more goals this season than Mateta (5 goals + 1 assist) and Ismaila Sarr (4 goals + 2 assists).
Prediction
Having thumped QPR in an eight-goal thriller despite conceding twice in tough visibility conditions in the FA Cup, Leicester now need to try and bring some of that quality into their league performances if want to kick on and stand a chance at staying up.
Palace though scraped past League One’s Stockport in a gutsy display from the third-tier team but I do expect the Eagles to bounce back, particularly if can show the grit that saw them fight back to draw 1-1 against Chelsea in their last top-flight fixture.
My instinct though is that this will be a tough battle but if Leicester show the same quality as they managed against QPR, they should at least nick a point.
Prediction: Leicester 1-1 Crystal Palace
Result: Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace
