Luton meet Derby in a mid-table Championship clash at Kenilworth Road.
Victory will see Luton climb up to 14th in the table above Derby, whilst Paul Warne’s Rams look to go 10th with a win.
Team News
Erik Pieters is set for his Luton debut after he joined on a short-term contract.
Tom Lockyer (ankle), Daiki Hashioka (knock) and Liam Walsh (suspension) are sidelined.
Derby will be without Eiran Cashin after he suffered a hamstring injury in their win over Portsmouth last weekend.
Ryan Nyambe (knee) and David Ozoh (quad) both remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Luton host Derby at Kenilworth Road on Friday 20 December at 8pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Luton have lost one of their last five meetings against Derby (W3, D1, L1).
- Derby have won one of their last five league trips to Luton (W1, L4).
- Luton won two of their last five home matches against Derby by 1-0 results.
- Elijah Adebayo has scored in each of Luton’s last two home games (W1, D1).
- Derby are looking to keep three consecutive clean sheets for the first time since April 2024.
Prediction
With one win in their last five and inconsistent all season, Luton need to start putting a winning run together if want to stay away from the relegation zone.
Rob Edwards’ Hatters though have lost one of their last nine home games but they must be more clinical than they were away at Blackburn, but defending is their Achilles heel and that must start changing.
Derby meanwhile can relax a bit sat firmly in mid-table but they’re not too far away from getting sucked into a relegation fight, although I do think that they can stay up if play as clinically as they did against Portsmouth.
Kenilworth Road however hasn’t been an easy away trip for the Rams but I do think that they can get a point here.
Prediction: Luton 1-1 Derby
Result: Luton 2-1 Derby
