When is Kick-Off?
Leicester host Brighton at King Power Stadium on Sunday 8 December at 2pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Leicester have lost two of their last seven league meetings against Brighton (W2, D3, L2).
- Brighton are yet to win away to Leicester in the Premier League (D3, L3).
- Both teams have scored in each of their last six meetings in all competitions, during which Leicester netted 10 goals to Brighton’s 13.
- Six of Leicester’s nine league goals at home were scored in the second half.
- Joao Pedro has produced more assists than any other Brighton player this season in the top-flight (3).
Prediction
Off the back of an excellent start to life under Ruud van Nistelrooy with an energetic clinical attacking win over West Ham, Leicester now need to bring that same intensity and aggression if want to kick on up the table.
Brighton though will be keen to mount a response to their defeat at bogey club – Fulham, where they were pretty dominant but lacked the end product amidst sloppy defensive moments which were punished.
On that note, I can see a tough scrap coming because Leicester will probably again seek to counter-attack at high pace, but Brighton should see more of the ball and be more dangerous if Welbeck is back up front.
A draw therefore feels like a solid call if both teams are at their best.
Prediction: Leicester 1-1 Brighton
Result: Leicester 2-2 Brighton
