Arsenal meet Manchester United in a huge Premier League encounter.
Victory could see Arsenal stay second if Chelsea fail to better their result, whilst Man Utd can go sixth if Nottingham Forest and Brentford both lose elsewhere.
Team News
Mikel Merino and Thomas Partey are doubts for Arsenal after they missed the 5-2 win at West Ham with respective knee and muscle injuries.
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White remain sidelined with knee injuries.
Man Utd will be without Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez who are suspended, following their fifth bookings of the campaign in a 4-0 home win over Everton.
Leny Yoro (ankle) could make his competitive club debut but Jonny Evans (knock) and Victor Lindelöf (groin) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Arsenal host Man Utd at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday 4 December at 8:15pm GMT, live on Amazon Prime in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Arsenal have lost one of their last five meetings against Man Utd (W4, L1).
- Man Utd are winless in their last six trips to Arsenal (D1, L5), and conceded three goals in each of their last three visits.
- Utd’s Marcus Rashford has scored in each of his last two trips to Arsenal (L2).
- Bukayo Saka has scored in each of Arsenal’s last three league matches at home (W2, D1).
- Utd are looking to record consecutive clean sheets in the league for the first time since mid-September.
Prediction
After their ruthless mauling of West Ham despite conceding one of their two conceded goals through a lapse in marking, Arsenal certainly are back to their best and I am expecting more of the same quality here.
Man Utd however will be quite a threat on the counter-attack after ruthlessly demolishing Everton, which should make this more interesting especially with Utd more confident under Ruben Amorim.
On that note, I am expecting a competitive encounter but Arsenal should really have the edge given their head-to-head form.
Prediction: Arsenal 3-2 Man Utd
Result: Arsenal 2-0 Man Utd
