Derby County meet Sheffield Wednesday in a mid-table Championship encounter.
Victory will see Deby climb as high as 12th in the table, whilst Sheffield Wednesday can go 12th themselves with a win.
Team News
Jerry Yates is available for Derby after he was ineligible to play in their midweek 2-1 loss to Swansea.
Ryan Nyambe (knee), Tawanda Chirewa (thigh), David Ozoh (hamstring) and Jake Rooney (ACL) are ruled out.
Sheffield Wednesday will be without Di’Shon Bernard after he picked up his fifth booking in a 2-0 midweek win at Hull.
Josh Windass (hamstring) and Ike Ugbo (unspecified) are doubts for selection.
Michael Ihiekwe (Achilles), Akin Famewo and Olaf Kobacki (both muscle) are still sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Derby host Sheffield Wednesday at Pride Park on Sunday 1 December at 3pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Football in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Derby have won one of their last seven meetings against Sheffield Wednesday (W1, D4, L2).
- Sheffield Wednesday are winless in their last 13 league visits to Derby (D6, L7).
- Derby have kept just one clean sheet in their last four home games against Sheffield Wednesday (D4).
- Paul Warne Rams have scored 11 goals in their last nine matches (W2, D5, L2).
- Josh Windass and Michael Smith have both scored in two of Sheffield Wednesday’s last three away games, except for 1-0 loss at Sheffield United.
Prediction
Although Derby clearly have attacking quality, they just haven’t had winning consistency with too many goals conceded but they are on course for a solid mid-table finish at this rate.
Sheffield Wednesday meanwhile are in slightly better form especially on the road and after keeping a clean sheet at Hull, they should feel confident that they can get something at their bogey away club.
The first goal though will be key but I am going for a draw as there shouldn’t be too much to split them.
Prediction: Derby 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday
Result: Derby 1-2 Sheffield Wednesday
