Manchester United host Bodø/Glimt in a league phase clash in 2024-25 UEFA Europa League.
Victory will see Man Utd move further up the order within the knockout play-off seeding positions, but top eight isn’t out of question if results go their way.
Bodø/Glimt can move into the top eight with a win if results elsewhere swing in their favour.
Team News
Lisandro is set to return for Man Utd after he missed their 1-1 Premier League draw at Ipswich with a back injury.
Harry Maguire (calf), Leny Yoro (ankle) and Victor Lindelöf (groin) remain absent.
Bodø/Glimt have no fresh injury issues but Omar Elabdellaoui, Daniel Bassi, Runar Espejord and Nino Zugelj are ineligible, although the latter three are out with long-term injuries.
When is Kick-Off?
Man Utd host Bodø/Glimt at Old Trafford on Thursday 28 November at 8pm GMT, live on TNT Sport 2 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- This is Man Utd’s first competitive meeting against Bodø/Glimt in all competitions.
- Bodø/Glimt are playing Utd for the first time at Old Trafford.
- Bodø/Glimt failed to score in any of their two previous meetings against English opposition, having conceded four goals in two clashes against Arsenal in 2022-23 season (L2).
- Four of Man Utd’s seven goals in this phase has been scored before half-time.
- Jens Petter Hauge is the only Bodø/Glimt player to score more than one goal in this league phase.
Prediction
Despite their electric start at Ipswich, Man Utd lacked the edge to build on their early goal but they looked more lively with foundations to build upon here, especially as it’s Ruben Amorim’s first home match in charge.
Bodø/Glimt however are a strong attacking team packed with goalscoring threats across the pitch, but they weren’t clinical enough in their defeat to Qarabag despite their dominance last time out in Europe.
I however am expecting Man Utd to have too much if can be more consistent when on the attack, but this won’t be an easy game for both clubs.
Prediction: Man Utd 2-1 Bodø/Glimt
Result: Man Utd 3-2 Bodø/Glimt
