Scotland Draw Greece in 2024-25 UEFA Nations League Play-Offs

Scotland have drawn Greece in a tricky UEFA Nations League promotion-relegation play-off. 

Steve Clarke’s Tartan Army relegated Poland to League B with a final group-match win but now face a tough test to stay in League A, after they were drawn against Greece who were pipped to automatic promotion by England.

Republic of Ireland will be involved in League B-C play-offs which too is over two legs, with Heimir Hallgrimsson’s Boys in Green set to play Bulgaria with the second leg at home.

Gibraltar and Malta will face Latvia and Luxembourg respectively in League C-D play-offs.

League A-B and League B-C play-off ties will be played on 20 and 23 March 2025, whilst League C-D play-offs will be played on 26 and 31 March to ensure enough teams are available for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying.

Spain Faces Tough Title Defence

Reigning Nations League champions, Spain will face a tough test of their title defence in the new two-legged quarter-final stage, after they were drawn against the Netherlands with the first leg away.

Should Spain progress past the Dutch, they will meet the winner of Croatia’s quarter-final against France in the semi-finals.

Two household European teams in Italy and Germany will meet in the quarter-Finals, with the winner facing either Denmark or Portugal in the semi-finals.

Quarter-Final ties will be on 20 and 23 March 2025, whilst semi-finals will be on 4-5 June, followed by third-placed play-off and final on 8 June.
