Northern Ireland host Belarus at Windsor Park in a top of 2024-25 UEFA Nations League C3 showdown.
Victory would see Northern Ireland secure promotion to League B with a game to spare if Bulgaria fail to beat Luxembourg.
Belarus though will go top with a win and have promotion in their hands away to Bulgaria in their final group match.
Team News
Northern Ireland have a full squad available for selection, with Shea Charles confirmed as captain for the match.
Belarus will be without midfielders, Maksim Kireev and Nikita Korzun due to injury.
When is Kick-Off?
Northern Ireland host Belarus at Windsor Park, Belfast, on Friday 15 November at 7:45pm GMT, live on Viaplay YouTube channel.
Stat Attack
- Northern Ireland drew 0-0 against Belarus in their only previous Nations League meeting in October 2024, albeit away on neutral territory in Hungary.
- Belarus are winless in two previous visits to Northern Ireland (L2).
- Out of Northern Ireland’s five previous goalscorers at home against Belarus, only Josh Magennis is in this squad.
- Northern Ireland have scored seven goals in their two home games in this group without conceding (W2).
- Belarus failed to score in the opening half of all four group matches so far.
Prediction
With promotion potentially within sight and yet to concede at home this year, Northern Ireland should feel confident coming into this game after last month’s ruthless mauling of Bulgaria.
Belarus though might of scored just two goals but they have conceded just once underlining how organised they’re defensively, but they really need to score here if want to get anything out of this game.
I however do think that Northern Ireland will have too much if can play the long game with patience and break Belarus’ defence down.
Prediction: Northern Ireland 1-0 Belarus
Result: Northern Ireland 2-0 Belarus
