2024-25 Premier League: Week 10 – Bournemouth vs Man City

Bournemouth look to continue their improved form against Premier League leaders, Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium.

Victory would see Bournemouth climb to eighth with Tottenham, Fulham and Brentford not in action on Saturday.

Man City will stay top with a win or if Liverpool fail to better their result.

Team News

Philip Billing is set to return for Bournemouth after he missed their 1-1 draw at Aston Villa, due to illness.

Kepa Arrizabalaga (adductor) and Luis Sinisterra (knock) could return but Alex Scott (knee) is still sidelined.

Man City could be without Savinho after the midfielder suffered an ankle injury in their midweek Carabao Cup defeat at Tottenham.

Manuel Akjani (muscle) and Josko Gvardiol (concussion) are doubtful for selection.

Jeremy Doku, Jack Grealish (both unspecified), Kyle Walker, Rodri (both knee), Kevin De Bruyne (groin) and Oscar Bobb (leg) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Bournemouth host Man City at Vitality Stadium on Saturday 2 November at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

Despite having endured a tricky pair of fixtures since returning from the international break, Bournemouth have shown incredible patience and grit to get four points against Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Andoni Iraola though needs to get his defensive tactics spot on if his Cherries want any chance of beating Man City.

Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens meanwhile need to produce a clinical reaction to their lacklustre loss at Spurs, where they didn’t really get going until too late which will only motivate them here.

City also have the knowledge of their strong form in this fixture but like last season, this could well be another tough test especially if missing Gvardiol and Akjani in defence, yet they should find a way to three points.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Manchester City

Result: Bournemouth 2-1 Manchester City
