2024-25 Premier League: Week Nine – Everton vs Fulham

Everton meet top-ten chasing Fulham at Goodison Park in a Premier League encounter.

Victory could put Everton up to 13th if Brentford and Leicester both lose elsewhere, whilst Fulham can go seventh with a win if Nottingham Forest lose on Friday evening.

Team News

Jesper Lindstrom could return for Everton after he missed their victory at Ipswich, due to illness.

James Garner (back) and Tim Iroegbunam (foot) are both ruled out but Jarrad Branthwaite (quad) is in contention.

Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti (both foot) remain absent.

Fulham will be without defender, Joachim Andersen following his red card in their 3-1 loss to Aston Villa.

Sasa Lukic (shoulder) and Timothy Castagne are ruled out but Jorge Cuenca (ankle) and Carlos Vinicius (calf) could return.

When is Kick-Off?

Everton host Fulham at Goodison Park on Saturday 26 October at 5:30pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Everton have won one of their last seven league meetings against Fulham (W1, D2, L4).
  • Fulham are unbeaten in four of their last 18 league visits to Everton (W3, D1, L14).
  • Everton have scored one goal and conceded six goals in their last three league matches at home to Fulham.
  • Sean Dyche’s Toffees are looking to keep three consecutive clean sheets for the first time since April 2024.
  • Fulham’s Sasa Lukic has been booked in two of the Cottagers’ last three away games in the top-flight.

Prediction

Unbeaten in four games and with clean sheets in their last two matches, Everton have found some form and were clinical at Ipswich but this will be a tougher test of their momentum.

Fulham might of lost their last two games but it is important to remember that the losses came against two of last season’s top-four, so I do expect them to try and bounce back here but they must be more polished in attack but solid defensively.

Everton though are now a more resilient team defensively so I do expect a tough fight here, which could well finish level unless Fulham can find their balance again after two tough games.

Prediction: Everton 1-1 Fulham

Result: Everton 1-1 Fulham
