2024-25 Premier League: Week Nine – Leicester vs Forest

Leicester host Nottingham Forest in an East Midlands derby in 2024-25 Premier League.

Victory could see Leicester go as high as ninth in the table, whilst Forest can go fifth with a win.

Team News

Leicester have no fresh injury concerns after their 3-2 comeback win at Southampton last weekend, but defender – Jannik Vestergaard remains ruled out after he missed that trip with an ankle injury.

Hamza Choudhury (shoulder), Jakub Stolarczyk and Patson Daka (both ankle) remain sidelined.

Forest will welcome midfielder, James Ward-Prowse back from suspension, which saw him miss their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Ibrahim Sangare (hamstring), Morgan Gibbs-White and Danilo (both ankle) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Leicester host Forest at King Power Stadium on Friday 25 October at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Prediction

Lucky to have beaten Southampton from 2-0 down after a dreadful opening hour’s play, Leicester now need to take that late-match momentum and apply it here with a proper fighting spirit from the get-go.

Forest meanwhile executed a clinical win over a lacklustre Palace and with one league loss this season, they are a solid robust team who can’t be feared and will certainly take the battle to Leicester.

I therefore don’t foresee many goals coming but if both teams bring their best game, I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends in a draw.

Prediction: Leicester City 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Result: Leicester City 1-3 Nottingham Forest
