Bromley Football Club have announced a new partnership with London Taxi PR.
This partnership comes as part of London Taxi PR’s (LTPR) new football promotion initiative for 2024-25 season, which will see ‘The Knowledge’ get promoted across teams in English Football League (EFL) and Essex Senior League clubs.
This new marketing initiative is designed to recruit new London Taxi Drivers, with focus on ‘The Knowledge’, which is a study and test that taxi drivers in London must undertake in order to earn their taxi driver license within London.
Bromley will sport LTPR branding across pitch-side advertisement hoarding boards at Hayes Lane, which they are now groundsharing with London City Lionesses in-turn increasing LTPR’s exposure.
Millwall is the only other London-based EFL club who will have LTPR on advertising boards, alongside Romford FC, West Essex and Buckhurst Hill of the Essex Senior League.
“This latest campaign is a fantastic opportunity to promote The Knowledge and the profession to the respective clubs fanbases and visiting supporters, and also those who may view the matches either on television or online,” commented Andy Scott, London Taxi PR’s, PR, and Communications spokesperson.
“We’ve seen that licensed Taxi driver numbers have continued to steadily decline, and we felt we needed urgently to address this by encouraging new blood into embarking on undertaking The Knowledge and seeing the profession as a future career.”
Scott proceeded to explain that this partnership “will involve both community and local business engagement, all of which is another important area for us to get the message out about The Knowledge and the profession as a potential career.”
Bromley’s Head of Commercial, Mick Livesey welcomed LTPR’s partnership given how crucial a role taxis play in London’s heritage.
“When you think about our capital, you think about the iconic black cab. As a football club located in the largest borough of London, it’s fantastic to be involved with this incredible organisation.
“London Taxi PR not only represents a vital part of our city’s heritage but also embodies the spirit of connection that we value at Bromley Football Club.”
