Five Stand-Out Pointers

  • Chelsea could be set for a season of transition following Sonia Bompastor’s appointment as manager, following Emma Hayes’ exit at end of last season.
  • Having recruited well amidst a wave of player exits, Manchester City will be early title favourite with the firepower of Bunny Shaw and Vivianne Miedema.
  • Following two seasons of flirting with relegation, Brighton have invested well in quality players which means that mid-table will be a serious expectation.
  • After a below-par campaign, Man Utd will look to bounce back this season following positive investment in improving their squad.
  • Despite this being their first WSL season, Palace will need to focus to getting results against teams around them if want to avoid instant relegation.
