2024-25 Premier League: Week Four – Tottenham vs Arsenal

Tottenham meet Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a North London derby.

Victory would lift Tottenham above their North London rivals into sixth, whilst Arsenal can go second with a win.

Team News

Yves Bissouma is a doubt for Tottenham after he suffered a groin injury whilst on international duty for Mali.

Mickey van de Ven (knee) and Dominic Solanke (ankle) could return but Richarlison (unspecified) remains absent.

Arsenal could be without midfielder, Martin Odegaard after he suffered an ankle injury, whilst he was on international duty for Norway.

Riccardo Calafiori (calf) is also doubtful but Gabriel Jesus (groin) could return.

Declan Rice is suspended after he was sent off in their 1-1 draw against Brighton.

Prediction

Although their away performances haven’t exactly been sparkly, Tottenham were absolutely ruthless in their home win over Everton and I do feel that they need something similar after their defensive mess in the loss at Newcastle.

Arsenal meanwhile clinically overcame a tough test against Brighton with a deserved point, but if Odegaard isn’t fit then I do worry for them in midfield with Rice suspended which leaves Jorginho, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey to fill those slots.

If Odegaard is fit then I can see Arsenal’s attacking press proving too much for Spurs but if he is absent, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tottenham get a draw or even takes the win but this should be a fierce battle nevertheless.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Arsenal

Result: Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal
