Bromley host Crewe Alexandra at Hayes Lane in a stand-out League 2 fixture.
Victory could see Bromley go top depending on results elsewhere, whilst Crewe could move out of the relegation zone with a win.
Team News
Bromley will be without Ashley Charles after he was sent off in their loss at Bradford City.
Josh Passley (unspecified) is unlikely to feature in this match.
Crewe Alexandra could welcome Omar Bogle back into contention, after he was sidelined with a back injury suffered in pre-season.
Tom Booth (groin) is a doubt but Jack Powell (ACL) remains absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Bromley host Crewe Alexandra at Hayes Lane on Saturday 31 August at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- This is Bromley’s first meeting against Crewe Alexandra.
- Crewe Alexandra are visiting Bromley for the first time in all competitions.
- Bromley have scored in each of their last 13 competitive matches (W6, D3, L4).
- Crewe are winless in their last eight visits to London-based clubs (D5, L3).
Prediction
Having tasted a harsh first League Two defeat away at Bradford where they were outplayed, Bromley need to learn from their first-half defensive sloppiness and be more disciplined here even when the referee might be overly harsh in some games.
Crewe meanwhile are yet to even score a league goal this season but did well to hold Swindon to a goalless draw, then thrash Liverpool Under-21s by a 5-1 result in midweek which will give them confidence.
London though hasn’t been kind to Crewe in recent seasons so the first goal is key for them, otherwise I can see Bromley returning to winning ways if they can get in front.
Prediction: Bromley 2-1 Crewe Alexandra
Result: Bromley 1-2 Crewe Alexandra
