Bromley welcome AFC Wimbledon to Hayes Lane in their first home match as a League 2 club.
Victory will put either Bromley or AFC Wimbledon top ahead of the 3pm kick-offs.
Team News
Bromley have no fresh injury concerns to report following their Carabao Cup exit against AFC Wimbledon in midweek, with Grant Smith, Byron Webster and Michael Cheek amongst rested players set for a recall.
Danny Imray and Josh Passley both missed that match through injury and are unlikely to be available for this fixture.
AFC Wimbledon have no fresh injury concerns to report as John-Joe O’Toole returns from suspension.
When is Kick-Off?
Bromley entertain AFC Wimbledon at Hayes Lane on Saturday 17 August at 12:30pm BST, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.
Stat Attack
- This is Bromley’s first League 2 meeting against AFC Wimbledon.
- AFC Wimbledon have won just two of their last six visits to Bromley in all competitions at Hayes Lane (W2, D2, L2).
- Bromley have scored first in their last three matches in all competitions (W1, D1, L1).
- AFC Wimbledon have never won their first two league games in a new season since their promotion to EFL in 2011.
Prediction
Having only met on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup, it will be interesting to see how Bromley approach this because they were wasteful in front of goal, yet their marking must improve after costing them in midweek.
AFC Wimbledon meanwhile needed two clinical goals to come from behind but they were just as wasteful at times, so they too must step it up and show more composure if they want to gatecrash the home party again.
I however do expect Bromley to field a first-choice line-up who hopefully will be much sharper than the team who played in midweek, whilst an electric home crowd will only motivate them to achieve a first home win in the EFL.
Prediction: Bromley 2-1 AFC Wimbledon
Result: Bromley 2-0 AFC Wimbledon
