Five Teams to Watch in 2024-25 Championship Season

  • Burnley – Despite Scott Parker replacing Vincent Kompany as manager, the Clarets will expect to seek instant promotion back to the top-flight.
  • Leeds – Daniel Farke’s Whites will be favourites after missing out on promotion but face a tough start following the loss of some key players.
  • Middlesbrough – Michael Carrick’s Boro will be expected to push for promotion after a strong finish to last season and solid summer recruitment.
  • Oxford United – Having been promoted via League One Play-Offs, the Us have recruited well but survival will be their main aim after 25 year absence.
  • Sunderland – Suffered a difficult campaign last season but with Regis Le Bris now in charge, the Black Cats should target play-offs if possible.
