Premier League Announce Opening Batch of 2024-25 UK TV Picks

Premier League have finalised broadcast scheduled for August – September 2024 on Sky Sports and TNT Sport in the UK. 

Sky Sports will broadcast 22 matches across August – September, beginning with the season-opener at Old Trafford on Friday 16 August, as Manchester United entertain Fulham in a 8pm BST kick-off.

Other opening weekend highlights on Sky includes;

  • West Ham v Aston Villa (5:30pm, Saturday 17 August)
  • Brentford v Crystal Palace (2pm, Sunday 18 August)
  • Chelsea v Man City (4:30pm, Sunday 18 August)
  • Leicester v Tottenham (8pm, Monday 19 August)

Sky will then air six matches across matchweeks two and three, which includes a trip for last season’s runner-up, Arsenal to Villa on 24 August in a 5:30pm kick-off, with Unai Emery’s Villa looking to mount another top-four tilt after they finished fourth last campaign.

Sky will also show the blockbuster North-West derby between Man Utd and Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday 1 September – just prior to September’s international break, with the match scheduled for 4pm following lengthy consultation with Greater Manchester Police.

Following the first international break of the season, Sky return on 14 September with a Saturday Night Football double-header, with Villa hosting Everton at 5:30pm followed by Chelsea’s trip to Bournemouth at 8pm.

Sky will broadcast the first North London derby of the season on 15 September as Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs entertain Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium..

A blockbuster encounter between Man City and Arsenal on Sunday 22 September plus Man Utd’s home clash against Tottenham on 29 September will both be live on Sky Sports, with both matches kicking off at 4:30pm.

As already announced, TNT will start their coverage of the season with newly promoted Ipswich’s home clash against Arne Slot’s Liverpool on Saturday 17 August, with all of their picks until end of September airing on Saturdays at 12:30pm BST.

TNT will then broadcast Fabian Hürzeler’s home bow as Brighton manager against Man Utd on 24 August, followed by the Seagulls’ trip to Arsenal on 31 August.

After the international break, TNT will air Man Utd’s trip to Southampton on 14 September followed by West Ham’s London derby against Chelsea on 21 September, before rounding the month off at St James’ Park as Newcastle face Man City on 28 September.
