- Having struggled with nailing their setup on Fridays at recent races, Red Bull need to maximise FP1 in order to find the perfect setup especially with McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari now on par.
- After struggling in Spain with their new floor, RB will need to quickly find their ideal setup in Practice in order to maximise their weekend.
- Located at 677 metres above sea level, the Red Bull Ring will pose issues in terms of temperature management of brakes and power units which could mean reliability playing a part this weekend.
- With plenty of overtaking opportunities available on this Sprint weekend, there is opportunity for tyre strategies to potentially prove crucial to results for several teams across both races.
- Rain is forecast for Friday and Sunday which could certainly provide an additional challenge in breaking zones, especially on downhill run to Schlossgold if get wet sessions.
