Five Key Pointers
- Given that this race often sees many teams bring upgrades, it wouldn’t be a surprise if some teams opt to bring new parts despite the event being held later in season than usual.
- Red Bull will hope that they can resolve their kerb-riding issues which have affected the driveability in recent races, although kerbs could pose an issue in extracting lap time.
- McLaren should have confidence of fighting for strong results at this circuit – which was where their fortunes began to improve this time last season.
- Having seen improvement in their upgrades in Canada, Mercedes will be hoping that their new performance translates onto traditional circuits.
- Five of the last six Spanish Grands Prix have been won from pole position so Qualifying will be crucial.
Last Time Out
