Emirates Stadium will be the main home of Arsenal Women from 2024-25 season.
Jonas Eidevall’s Gunners will play eight Women’s Super League (WSL) fixtures at the club’s main stadium next season, having played six league fixtures there this season as part of a steady move in increasing WSL fixtures played at the Emirates Stadium.
Should Arsenal avoid another early UEFA Women’s Champions League exit in Qualifying and reach the Group Stage, their home matches will also take place at the Emirates Stadium, alongside any subsequent knockout matches.
All remaining fixtures including three WSL fixtures and both Women’s FA Cup and League Cup competitions will be played at Meadow Park, Boreham Wood.
Arsenal’s Chief Executive Officer, Vinai Venkatesham explained that the decision is about progressing the women’s game in the long term and sustainability of the club.
“For almost four decades, we’ve been at the forefront of the women’s game. We’ve recently seen extraordinary growth in supporters coming to Emirates Stadium for games held here, which include two complete sell-outs this season.
“The next step in our journey is to make Emirates Stadium our main home for Arsenal Women. We’re looking forward to giving more supporters the chance to watch our women’s team play.
“This is part of a collective drive across the club to take the women’s game forward and support sustainable growth of the game so it can thrive in the long term.”
Sporting Director, Edu Gaspar added that the “great passion” for Arsenal Women underlines the club’s ambitions as he added: “We are one club, with a vision to win major trophies across our men’s and women’s teams.
“This move supports this ambition and we can’t wait to continue this amazing journey with our supporters.”
Eidevall meanwhile paid tribute to fans for their support which has allowed the club to continue progressing on and off the pitch.
“We have a special connection with our supporters, who have shown up in huge numbers and pushed us forward every step of the way.
“To everyone who has followed us so far, thank you. You have played a key part in our progress and growth, helping us write this story.
“Next season, Emirates Stadium becomes our main home and we’re all excited to play in front of bigger crowds every week. We can’t wait to see you all there.”
As part of the increase in matches held at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal have unveiled an Emirates Home Advantage Pack +, which will allow supporters to purchase tickets for all eight WSL matches at a discounted price.
There will also be a standard Emirates Home Advantage Pack covering five fixtures which was introduced this season, which will allow supporters cheaper ticket prices for five WSL matches, with exact fixtures within each pack set to be confirmed once 2024-25 WSL fixtures are announced.
