2023-24 Sky Bet Championship: Week 45 – Monday

Preston host promoted Leicester at Deepdale in a Championship clash.

Victory would see Preston climb up to ninth in the table, whilst Leicester will be crowned champions with a win.

Preston have no fresh injury concerns to report following their defeat at QPR.

Alistair McCann (thigh), Ben Whiteman (ankle) and Brad Potts (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Leicester have a fully-fit squad available for selection.

When is Kick-Off?

Preston host Leicester at Deepdale on Monday 29 April at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Prediction

Although this game is essentially a dead rubber, Preston have to view this as a chance to halt their recent three-match losing streak because only a small goalkeeping mistake cost them a draw at QPR despite looking second-best on the attack.

Leicester meanwhile have no pressure on them now promotion is confirmed but with an unbeaten away Championship record at Preston and title at stake, I don’t see them rolling over after having thrashed Southampton last time out.

Enzo Maresca’s Foxes also can achieve 100 points if they win their last two games so I can’t see them slipping up, especially against a team who have nothing to play for so this is about minimising their loss from a Preston perspective.

Prediction: Preston 0-2 Leicester

Result: Preston 0-3 Leicester
