QPR entertain promotion-chasing Leeds at Loftus Road as the penultimate weekend of 2024-24 Championship season commences.
Victory would see QPR move up to 17th and guarantee Championship survival, whilst Leeds will stay second in the table with a win.
Team News
QPR have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 1-0 home win over Preston.
Michael Frey (leg), Taylor Richards (hamstring) and Rayan Kolli (leg) remain sidelined.
Leeds will be without Dan James after he suffered rib and muscle injuries during the 4-3 win at Middlesbrough.
Connor Roberts (muscle) and Joe Rodon (calf) are doubts but Pascal Struijk (groin) remains absent.
When is Kick-Off?
QPR host Leeds at Loftus Road on Friday 26 April at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- QPR have won two of their last seven league meetings against Leeds (W2, L5).
- Leeds have won one of their last five league visits to QPR (W1, L4).
- QPR have won each of their last two home meetings against Leeds by 1-0 result.
- QPR have lost just one of their four previous home matches against Yorkshire-based clubs this season (W2, D1, L1).
- Leeds have won one of their last eight league visits to London-based clubs (W1, L7).
Prediction
After a minor dip lately, QPR were simply clinical and dominant in their win over Preston and now will believe that they can spring a shock here to secures survival with a game to spare, but they can’t afford to be sloppy defensively against such fierce attacking opposition.
Leeds meanwhile got the win at Middlesbrough through strong aggressive and clinical play but their defensive marking at times was just poor, so there has to be improvement if they are to put the pressure upon Ipswich.
Daniel Farke’s Whites also don’t tend to fare well in London so the first goal will be key because if QPR can get in front and kick on in front of their home crowd, I can see them potentially having the edge if Leeds aren’t careful.
Prediction: QPR 2-1 Leeds
Result: QPR 4-0 Leeds
