Manchester United host relegation-battling Sheffield United at Old Trafford.
Victory or a draw would lift Man Utd up to sixth if can better Newcastle’s result, whilst Sheffield United will remain bottom regardless of the result.

- Both teams have scored in four of their last five meetings, except for a Man United home win by 3-0 result in June 2020.

Prediction
Although Man Utd were dominant for the opening hour at Wembley with three clinical goals, they otherwise lacked composure at times and their defence just seemed to go AWOL when put under pressure by Coventry.
In fact they simply should be grateful to VAR for its part in their eventual shootout win because to collapse from 3-0 up to a Championship team is appalling for a club of Utd’s stature, and they frankly should of lost in extra-time if Coventry had been more clinical.
Sheffield Utd though can’t talk much because they were absolutely wasteful against a clinical Burnley despite dominating various parts of that game, whilst their defending for all four goals were just poor so more composure and defensive discipline is needed here.
A goalless draw therefore can be ruled out but if Sheffield Utd turn up and play with better end product and intensity, they could get something but Man United’s players rightly looked embarrassed after their win on penalties so I expect a serious response here.
Prediction: Manchester United 2-1 Sheffield United
Result: Manchester United 4-2 Sheffield United
