2023-24 Premier League: Week 32 – Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Relegation-battling Crystal Palace host title-chasing Manchester City at Selhurst Park.

Victory would see Palace stay 14th in the table, whilst Man City can realistically go second until Arsenal play in the evening kick-off unless can win by a five-goal margin or more to go top.

Palace have no fresh injury concerns to report following their midweek defeat at Bournemouth.

Michael Olise (hamstring) could return but Sam Johnstone (elbow), Jesurun Rak-Sakyi (hamstring), Odsonne Edouard, Marc Guehi, Chris Richards (all knee), Rob Holding (ankle), Matheus Franca (adductor) and Cheick Docoure (Achilles) remain absent.

Man City could welcome goalkeeper, Ederson back into contention after he missed their last three matches with a muscle injury.

Nathan Ake (calf) and Kyle Walker (hamstring) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Palace host Man City at Selhurst Park on Saturday 6 April at 12:30pm BST, live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Crystal Palace have won one of their last five meetings against Man City (W1, D2, L2).
  • Man City are unbeaten in their last eight league visits to Palace (W6, D2).
  • Palace have kept two clean sheets in their last six home matches against Man City, of which both ended in goalless draws.
  • Palace have claimed four points in two home matches under Oliver Glasner (W1, D1).
  • Man City have scored first in three of their four league matches away from home in 2024 (W3, D1).

Prediction

After a toothless looking defeat at Bournemouth where their attack simply lacked quality amidst some decent defending in an eventually narrow defeat, Palace need to bring their A game here because this won’t be another easy game for a team lacking consistency.

Man City meanwhile tore Villa apart in a clinical display in midweek but they do still look vulnerable when teams counter-attack, which is something that should offer Palace some hope.

I however can’t see them offering enough quality to get anything here despite their two decent home performances under Glasner, but they defensively can minimise their loss if can defend like they did at Bournemouth.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 Manchester City

Result: Crystal Palace 2-4 Manchester City
