Top-four chasing Tottenham Hotspur face relegation-battling Luton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Victory would lift Spurs up to fourth with Aston Villa not in action until teatime, whilst Luton will stay out of the relegation zone if Forest lose elsewhere.
Team News
Mickey van de Ven is available for Tottenham after he missed their defeat at Fulham due to a hamstring injury.
Fraser Forster (foot), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) and Manor Solomon (knee) remain absent.
Luton will have Alfie Doughty (hamstring), Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu and Chiedozie Ogbene (both knock) available.
Teden Mengi is also set to feature after he recovered from a minor knee issue suffered during the international break.
Amari’i Bell, Dan Potts, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Elijah Adebayo (all hamstring), Joseph Johnson (illness), Mads Andersen (calf), Gabriel Osho, Marvelous Nakamba, Jacob Brown (all knee) and Tom Lockyer (illness) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Tottenham host Luton at 3pm GMT on Easter Saturday 30 March at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Tottenham won their only previous Premier League meeting against Luton by a 1-0 result in October 2023.
- Luton are visiting Tottenham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time, but are winless in their last six visits to Spurs in all competitions (D2, L4).
- Three of Tottenham’s last five meetings against Luton at home have been won by a 2-1 result.
- Tottenham have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last ten home matches in the top-flight (W6, L4).
- Luton are winless in their last five league matches on the road (D3, L2).
Prediction
Having missed a chance to put the pressure upon Villa in the race for fourth after a sloppy defeat at Fulham where they failed to get out of first gear on numerous occasions, so the break has been a chance to reset and hopefully they can deliver more front-footed energetic play here.
Luton meanwhile might not have the results worthy of their performances but they do have abundances of grit and spirit which they need to summon, especially given that they have a decent chance at survival if can string wins together amidst points deductions for their rivals.
With that in mind, Tottenham will need to be wary of Luton’s togetherness especially defensively but I can’t see the hosts losing this.
Prediction: Tottenham 2-1 Luton
Result: Tottenham 2-1 Luton
