Defender, Ben White has committed his future to Arsenal with a new long-term contract.

White joined Arsenal from Brighton in July 2021 and has gone on to score four goals in 122 appearances in all competitions, including two assists in Arsenal’s Premier League victory at home to Brentford last weekend which put Mikel Arteta’s Gunners top of the table.

Speaking about White’s decision to stay in North London, manager – Arteta commented: “It’s great news that Ben is committing his future to the club. Ben is a key player for us, a top professional with a winning mentality, and one of the guys who leads by example every day.

“Ben’s ability, determination and positive attitude are so important, but he is also a great character and human being. We all look forward to continue working with Ben in the coming years.”

Arsenal’s Sporting Director, Edu added that the club “… are so happy to have completed a new long-term contract with Ben. Since Ben joined us, his contribution and commitment have been of such high quality.

“Our supporters love him, we love him and we look forward to enjoying Ben’s performances with us for years to come.”

Having spent his first season at Arsenal playing in a centre-back position, White last season transitioned into the right-back role where he has settled and provided extra defensive versatility in tactical options for Arteta.
