2023-24 Sky Bet Championship: Week 37 – Sunday

Huddersfield Town entertain West Bromwich Albion at John Smith’s Stadium in a huge Championship clash at both ends of the table.

Victory would see Huddersfield climb out of the relegation zone and as high as 18th in the table, whilst West Brom can move five points clear of the play-off spots with a win.

When is Kick-Off?

Huddersfield host West Brom at John Smith’s Stadium on Sunday 10 March at 12pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Huddersfield are unbeaten in five of their last six meetings against West Brom (W3, D2, L1).
  • West Brom have won one of their last six league visits to Huddersfield (W1, D1, L4).
  • Huddersfield have scored in each of their last four home games against West Brom (W3, D1).
  • Huddersfield have earned eight points from five home matches in 2024 (W2, D2, L1).
  • West Brom have won one of their five away matches in 2024 (W1, D2, L2).

Prediction

Currently fighting the drop, Huddersfield will need to be more clinical than they were at Cardiff but their defence most importantly needs to be absolutely on top form, especially if they want to beat West Brom who have scored in seven of their last eight games.

West Brom meanwhile seem to be keeping one step ahead of their immediate play-off rivals but they really need to start putting together a run of wins to avoid being sucked into the scrap for that play-off spot, especially after a clinical yet lacklustre 2-2 draw at QPR who outclassed them for energy in attack in midweek.

Carlos Corberan’s Baggies simply can’t be any more lucky than they were because they on another day would of lost that game yet that point could be pivotal come the final day, but they need to improve against the Terriers who seem to have found some form at home and could force another draw.

Prediction: Huddersfield 1-1 WBA

Result: Huddersfield 1-4 WBA
