England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales have discovered their groups for 2024-25 UEFA Nations League.
Having won promotion to League A in last season’s UEFA Nations League, Scotland have been placed in a tough League A1, with Croatia, Portugal and Poland.
England and Wales meanwhile were relegated to League B, with Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions placed in League B2 with fellow home nation – Republic of Ireland, plus Finland and Greece.
Rob Page’s Wales have been drawn in League B4 with Iceland, Montenegro and Turkey.
Northern Ireland remain in League C and will play in League C3 alongside Luxembourg, Bulgaria and Belarus.
Sweden meanwhile have been handed Azerbaijan, Slovakia and Estonia in a tricky League C1, following their shock relegation to the third-tier.
League D will contain San Marino and Liechtenstein in the opening group alongside the loser of Lithuania’s play-off against Gibraltar.
Moldova, Malta and Andorra meanwhile are in the second League D group together.
Next season’s Nations League will commence with the group phrase between 5 September – 19 November 2024, followed by Quarter-Finals and Relegation Play-Offs from 20-23 March 2025 with semi-finals and Final played between 4-8 June 2025.
In a format tweak, the top two teams in each League A group will qualify for the knockout stages rather than just group winners.
The third-placed team in Leagues A-B plus two best bottom-placed League C teams and second-placed teams in League D groups meanwhile will now contest relegation play-offs with Leagues A and B teams facing each other and likewise for Leagues C and D.
