Haas have unveiled the 2024 VF-24 car which will compete in the 2024 F1 season.
Haas’ latest car will be driven by Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen, with Hulkenberg conducting a shakedown run at Silverstone on Sunday 11 February.
Oliver Bearman and Pietro Fittipaldi meanwhile will share reserve duties at Haas this season.
The VF-24 car has kept the predominant black livery of last season’s VF-23 with red and white accents.
This season however marks the team’s first F1 campaign without Gunther Steiner who has left the team, and been replaced as Team Principal by Ayao Komatsu.
“We’re realistic about our expectations for the VF-24 to start but it’s still an exciting moment in any Formula 1 season to showcase the car,” commented Komatsu.
Komatsu however iterated that the team faces a tough test in pre-season testing from 23-25 February, if want improve upon last season which saw them finish bottom of the constructors’ standings with 12 points.
“There’s a lot of work ahead of us to make progress and increase our performance but everyone here is highly motivated and eager to get on track with the VF-24.
“I know we’ll be maximizing our time in Bahrain with all the various items we need to push through. Bottom line, we can’t wait to get going and get the season underway.”
Chairman, Gene Haas added that he is excited to have “a great pair of drivers behind the wheel,” in Hulkenberg and Magnussen, who have “invaluable” experience to help develop the car across the season.
Gene also iterated that the team have put “processes in place to be better and ultimately improve our overall performance.”
Haas are the first team to have officially unveiled their car for the new season, which came just hours after Komatsu’s home country, Japan signed a new five-year contract for the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka until end of 2029.
