PHM AIX Racing have signed Josh Dufek for the 2024 F3 season.
Dufek made his F3 debut for Campos at the final round of the 2023 season at Monza, Italy, where he finished 14th in both races.
The 19 year-old will now return to the series as a full-time driver as he switches to PHM AIX Racing for this season, having driven for the team in the 2023 post-season tests.
Dufek is “thrilled” to graduate into F3 full-time where he is eager to show his potential after two strong post-season tests.
“It’s an exciting opportunity and I can’t wait to hit the track and show what I can do. The official tests at the end of last year really helped us in setting a solid baseline and I hope to build on that to make this season together a memorable one!”
PHM AIX Racing’s Sporting Director, Roland Rehfeld is “very glad” to sign Dufek as their first driver of this season, having followed his progress in recent seasons, and signed him for the FRMEC last season where he finished sixth with two podiums.
After the FRMEC season ended, Dufek endured a “challenging” season as he only drove in the first half of FRECA campaign, before he switched to EuroFormula for the second half of the year and eventually finished 13th and seventh in the respective categories.
During his time in EuroFormula, Dufek claimed seven podium finishes and took one victory which Rehfeld believes underlined “his real speed and abilities in various classes before and in our post-season testing.”
Rehfeld also spoke of confidence that Dufek can fight for top-ten results after the team struggled to offer much challenge last season.
“Joshua is part of our very strong driver line up and encourages the whole Team with his positive attitude and teamwork. We are convinced to be on a very competitive Level this season.”
Dufek’s teammates will be confirmed in due course.
