Max Esterston has graduated into F3 for a full-time 2024 season with Jenzer.

Esterston previously drove for Carlin in the British and Hungarian rounds during the 2023 season, with his best finish having been 18th position in the Hungarian Sprint Race.

The 21 year-old New-York born American has also spent the last two seasons racing full-time in GB3, where he took one win and pole position apiece plus a trio of third-placed podium finishes across spells at Douglas Motorsport and Fortec Motorsports.

Esterson is “excited” to make the step up to F3 with Jenzer, as he praised the team for their “great history of success” in F3, having achieved at least one podium finish in four of the last five seasons in the category.

The American rookie however acknowledged that he faces a tough step into F3 after driving for the team in post-season tests and Macau across Autumn 2023.

“It’s a big step up for me with more power, more downforce, and a heavier car, but I feel like I’ve gelled well with Jenzer’s family environment in the post-season tests last year and at the Macau Grand Prix in November.”

Jenzer Team Principal, Andreas Jenzer meanwhile believes that Esterson could be the next American driver to reach F1, as he explained: “With Max competing with the American flag and sponsors, we will work to bring the next American driver into the FIA F1 paddock!”

Esterson will partner fellow rookie, Matias Zagazeta plus an unconfirmed driver at Jenzer for the new season.
