Carvalho Joins Hull on Loan

Liverpool forward, Fabio Carvalho has joined Hull City on loan until end of 2023-24 season. 

Carvalho spent the first half of the season on loan at RB Leipzig where he failed to score in 15 appearances, which led Liverpool to recall him and have instead sent him to Hull for the remainder of the season.

Hull’s Head Coach, Liam Roseenior is delighted to sign a player of “… Fábio’s ability, his qualities as a young player.”

Rosenior proceeded to praise Chairman, Acun Ilicali and Vice-Chairman, Tan Kesler for their work to sign Carvalho on loan, which is testatement to the club’s ambitions as he explained: “We’re building a reputation, not just in England but in Europe, for the way we develop players.

“Our style of play and ambition are really important factors in attracting players to the club.”

The former full-back turned manager went on to speak about Carvalho’s arrival as he commented: “Fábio is excited to be coming here and I’m delighted to be working with him to the end of the season.

“Technically, he’s outstanding. He can assist, score and run in behind. He’s brave, quick, very balanced and takes the ball.

“The reason he’s at Liverpool is because he’s got enormous potential and I can’t thank them enough for trusting us; Liverpool have seen the work we’ve done with Tyler Morton.

“Fábio’s got the ability to make a real impact on our season and get us to where we want to be.”

Carvalho could make his debut for Hull in their Championship clash at home to Norwich on Friday 12 January at 8pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
