Union Saint-Gilloise have drawn Eintracht Frankfurt in the headline knockout play-off tie of 2023-24 UEFA Europa Conference League Knockout Play-Offs.

Saint-Gilloise finished third in their Europa League group despite beating Liverpool on the final day, and will now face Eintracht Frankfurt in the stand-out tie of the Europa Conference League’s Knockout Play-Offs.

Frankfurt meanwhile finished runners-up in Group G behind PAOK Salonika who bypassed this stage as the group winners, with Scotland’s Aberdeen having finished third in that group after stunning Frankfurt in their dead rubber final group match.

Real Betis dropped into this competition following a 3-2 final day loss to Rangers in Group C of the Europa League, and will now face Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb in a difficult looking contest.

Ajax finished third in Group B in the Europa League behind Brighton and Marseille, which now mean that they will face Bodø/Glimt in their knockout play-off tie.

Legia Warsaw’s reward for finishing runners-up in Group E behind Aston Villa is a tie against Molde with the second leg at home, against the Norwegian team who dropped into this competition after a 5-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen which saw Qarabag snatch second spot in their group.

Sturm Graz’s reward for advancing beyond a Group Stage in any UEFA competition for the first time is a tie against Slovakia’s Slovan Batislava.

Olympiacos will meet Ferencvaros in a tie which could well be the most competitive out of all eight knockout play-off ties.

Switzerland’s Servette will face Bulgaria’s Ludogorets Razgrad, whilst Israel’s Maccabi Haifa were drawn against Gent in the last match of the draw.

First legs of the Knockout Play-off ties will be played  on 15 February, with reverse legs following a week later on 22 February.

Villa meanwhile have bypassed this stage after they topped Group E to book their spot in the Round of 16, which will take place over two legs across 7 and 14 March.
