Hirving Lozano is suspended for PSV after he picked up his third booking of the group campaign in their win at Sevilla a fortnight ago, although he is sidelined with a hip injury.

Jordan Teze (concussion) could return but Armel Bella-Kotchap (shoulder) and Noa Lang (muscle) are unlikely to feature.

Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns to report following their Premier League defeat at Aston Villa.

Takehiro Tomiyasu (calf), Jurrien Timbers, Emile Smith Rowe (both knee), Fabio Vieira (groin) and Thomas Partey (muscle) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

PSV host Arsenal at Philip Stadion in a 6:45pm CET (5:45pm UK Time) kick-off on Tuesday 12 December, live on TNT Sport 2 in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • PSV have won one of their seven previous Champions League meetings against Arsenal (W1, D3, L3).
  • Arsenal have avoided defeat in two of three previous Champions League visits to PSV (W1, D1, L1).
  • PSV have scored three goals in their last two home games against Arsenal without conceding in all UEFA competitions (W2).
  • Luuk De Jong has scored two of PSV’s three goals at home in this group (W1, D1).
  • Each of Arsenal’s three away goals in the group have been scored by Brazilian players, with Gabriel Jesus netting in both away games and Gabriel Martinelli scored in 2-1 win at Sevilla.

Prediction

Although there is nothing to play for here, PSV will certainly want to extract revenge for their sole defeat of the season which came against Arsenal, but the Eredivisie leaders have kept just one clean sheet in this group so will need to be at their best here.

Arsenal likewise have nothing at stake here so I would expect them to rest players but after a wasteful defeat at Villa, Mikel Arteta will surely field a strong if rotated line-up to try and build some momentum following their recent shaky away form.

Now if both teams bring their best attacking quality and cut out their defensive mistakes then we should see a good battle, and a draw might well be a fair result.

Prediction: PSV 1-1 Arsenal

Result: PSV 1-1 Arsenal
