UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifying: Group D – Armenia vs Wales

Aremenia face Wales in a must-win Group D showdown at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifying.

Victory could see Armenia go second for a few hours with Croatia not in action until early-evening, whilst Wales can stay second with a win.

Team News

Armenia have no fresh injury concerns to report coming into this match, with a full squad available for selection.

Wales have no fresh injury concerns coming into this game with Ben Davies, Harry Wilson and Daniel James amongst several regulars set to start.

When is Kick-Off?

Prediction

Although not totally out of contention, Armenia know that this game is now must win after a surprise loss away to Latvia last month so I do expect them to come out and try to control this game, although it is important that they tighten up their leaky defence.

Wales meanwhile have their fate in their own hands in these final two games and having produced a classy performance to beat Croatia last month, these Welsh Dragons need to deliver a similar effort but they will have to be wary of Armenia’s threat on the attack.

Rob Page’s Wales though have Turkey at home in their final game of the group which is a difficult task so it is imperative that they win here to put their destiny in their hands on home soil, which I can see being the case if they can play a clinical game once more.

Prediction: Armenia 1-2 Wales

Result: Armenia 1-1 Wales
