Alpine Academy driver, Gabriele Mini has moved from Hitech GP to PREMA for the 2024 F3 season.

Mini finished seventh in his rookie campaign for Hitech with two wins, which came in the Monaco Feature and Hungarian Sprint Races respectively.

The 18 year-old Italian has since tested for PREMA in the F3 post-season tests and was earlier today (25 October) confirmed as a driver for the team in the Macau F3 event in mid November, alongside Paul Aron and Dino Beganovic – with the latter confirmed to be his teammate next season.

Speaking about his decision to join PREMA next season, Mini commented: “I’m very happy to join PREMA Racing for the 2024 season. The team had a very strong season last year, and we had some very promising tests together.”

Mini also iterated that he expects to fight for the title next year as he continued: “Our only goal will be to fight for the title, and I cannot wait to hit the track and start the new season. I would like to thank the Alpine Academy and All Road Management for their strong support to make it happen!”

PREMA Team Principal, Rene Rosin is “really proud” to reunite with Mini, who drove for the team in 2020 season in ADAC F4 and Italian F4 categories, of which the Italian became champion in his home category.

Reflecting upon what it meant to have Mini back in the team, Rosin said: “We thoroughly enjoyed working with him back in 2020 and we are happy to do it again now.

“We are extremely delighted by how our 2024 line-up is coming together as we have proven winners with high potential and great experience on our side. We cannot wait for the new season to start, and we look forward to the preparation work ahead.”

Mini and Beganovic’s teammate will be confirmed in due course with Arvid Lindbald favourite to take the third seat, having tested for PREMA in all three post-season tests although Aron is returning to the team for Macau which puts him in contention to stay for a second season.
