2023-24 UEFA Champions League: Group Stage – Feyenoord vs Celtic

Feyenoord meet Celtic at De Kuip in their opening Group E clash in 2023-24 UEFA Champions League.

Victory could see Feyenoord or Celtic go top if they can better the result of Lazio’s meeting against Atletico Madrid.

Stat Attack

Prediction

Already established themselves this season as a serious attacking team with Santiago Gimenez in particular already in hot form, Feyenoord certainly can come into this game full of confidence especially given their home form in UEFA competitions.

Celtic therefore are going to have to be absolutely on it defensively especially when marking Gimenez, although they do have their own threat in Furuhashi who will cause trouble and especially given how vulnerable Feyenoord can be defensively as exposed at times this season.

A goalless draw therefore would be a surprise but I really can’t see Feyenoord losing this such is their form at present.

Prediction: Feyenoord 3-1 Celtic

Result: Feyenoord 2-0 Celtic
