Scotland host Georgia at Hampden Park in their UEFA Euro 2024 Group A qualifier.
Scotland will stay top of Qualifying Group A no matter what happens in Glasgow but victory would move them eight points clear of their visitors.
Georgia meanwhile can stay second with at least a draw but a win would see them move to within two points of Steve Clarke’s Tartan Army.
Team News

Scotland have no fresh injury concerns to report as Nathan Patterson, John Souttar and Ross McCrorie all look to feature, having been left out of the matchday squad for the Tartan Army’s comeback win away to Norway.
Georgia could be without defender, Luka Lochoshvili after he suffered an unspecified injury during their 2-1 win away to Cyprus.
When is Kick-Off?
Scotland host Georgia at Hampden Park on Tuesday 20 June in a 7:45pm BST kick-off, live on Viaplay 1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Scotland have won two of four previous UEFA Euro Qualifying meetings against Georgia (W2, L2).
- Georgia have lost each of their two previous visits to Scotland (L2), in which they scored one goal and conceded three goals across both meetings.
- Two of the four meetings between Scotland and Georgia have finished in a 1-0 result, with both teams taking one win apiece by that result.
- Four of Scotland’s five goals at home have been scored by Scott McTominay (W2).
- Georges Mikautadze has scored in each of Georgia’s last two matches (W1, D1).
Prediction
Currently sat five points clear of the chasing pack, Scotland are well-placed to put their qualification fate in their own hands and beyond early reach of Spain – who have two games in hand on the Tartan Army going into the three sets of international windows this Autumn.
Their confidence will only be well boosted after a clinical comeback win away to Norway where they had to be brave and gutsy in their play, even if meant Lyndon Dykes being cut off up top at times yet their late intensity increase and tactical tweaks proved enough to score twice.
Georgia meanwhile have been a difficult team to beat as Norway and Cyprus have both discovered but they now face a tricky task, given that they have failed to beat Scotland twice away from home although I do expect them come here defensively set up to frustrate the Tartan Army.
This Scotland team though are a different prospect from previous meetings so I can’t help but feel that Georgia will need to be on their game here, otherwise Scotland should have enough to take victory if can target their visitors’ leaky defence efficiently.
Prediction: Scotland 2-1 Georgia
