Forward, Romeo Beckham has joined Brentford from Inter Miami on an one-year contract.
Beckham spent the second half of last season on loan with Brentford from Inter Miami albeit playing for their B team, although he managed just one goal in 15 appearances which came in a 3-2 victory at Wealdstone in the Middlesex Senior Cup.
The 20 year-old also helped the Bees win the Premier League Cup in May following a 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers in the Final, with recent first-team graduate – Ryan Trevitt opening the scoring, in a campaign where Brentford upset Arsenal and Fulham en-route to the title.
Brentford B’s Head Coach, Neil MacFarlane is delighted to retain Beckman on a permanent one-year contract, with the club holding an option to extend that contract for a further season depending on Beckham’s progress and performances.
MacFarlane added that Beckham has been a “fantastic” member of the B team with a “terrific” conclusion to the season, where he was able to show everything that he had learned across his loan spell.
On Beckham’s play in and out of possession, MacFarlane commented: “We’ve continued to develop him in and out of possession and we look forward to him coming back in good spirits to continue working with him next season.”
