UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifying: Denmark vs Northern Ireland

Denmark meet Northern Ireland at Parken Stadium, Copenhagen, in Qualifying Group H of UEFA Euro 2024.

Victory would see Denmark go top if Slovenia lose elsewhere, whilst Northern Ireland can leapfrog their hosts with a win.

Prediction

With just two wins and clean sheets apiece in their last seven matches, Denmark certainly aren’t the fearsome team that they had been up until last Autumn with a leaky defence proving their Achilles heel amidst their proven attacking quality.

Northern Ireland meanwhile will be disappointed to not be sat in the top two after suffering a narrow home loss to Finland in March, but this trip is a free shot given their poor head-to-head record against Denmark especially if they can target the Danish’s vulnerable defence like Kazakhstan did.

Højlund though could be the player which Northern Ireland need to watch closely given his form for Denmark, otherwise this could be another disappointing trip to the Nordic country.

Prediction: Denmark 2-1 Northern Ireland

Result: Denmark 1-0 Northern Ireland
