West Ham have confirmed details of a victory parade on Thursday 8 June, following their UEFA Europa Conference League title success.

Jarrod Bowen’s 90th minute winner saw West Ham end their 58-year wait for a major European trophy with a 2-1 win over Fiorentina in Prague, Czech Republic.

Said Benrahma had initially put David Moyes’ Hammers in front with a 62nd minute penalty, only for Giacomo Bonaventure to equalise five minutes later for the Italian opposition.

West Ham will now host a victory parade through the streets of East London at 7pm on Thursday 8 June, beginning at the team’s former home ground – Upton Park to a reception at Stratford Town Hall.

The parade will start at Champions Statue on Barking Road and proceed down the road before turning into Greengate Street, from which it will travel along the high street before venturing along New Plaistow Road and West Ham Lane.

Proceedings will finish with an event at Stratford Town Hall hosted by The Mayor of Newham, Rokhsana Fiaz, during which West Ham captain – Declan Rice will hold the tropy aloft in front of supporters.

West Ham’s Joint-Chairman, David Sullivan spoke of how “proud” he is of the club’s “magnificent” European campaign, amidst a relegation scrap in the Premier League which they escaped to safety in the final few weeks.

Sullivan proceeded to pay tribute to the club staff for their success, as he continued: “Proud of the manager, the backroom team, and all the staff, who have done a fantastic job.

“And proud of all the players, from our amazing home-grown talent, to our brilliant international stars, who have given us a night and a triumph that will live forever.”

Sullivan also praised fans for their “incredible” support with a “second to none,” atmosphere both at home and away.

Last night’s victory however was marred by violence towards Fiorentina’s Cristiano Biraghi in the 33rd minute, but Sullivan is eager to focus on the victory and it’s meaning to supporters as he added: “This trophy belongs to you, and it will be fantastic to all share in the moment.”

Sullivan also acknowledged that his co-Chairman, David Gold wasn’t around to witness their success following his passing back in January.

Paying tribute to Gold, Sullivan commented: “Sadly of course, there is one man who will not be there, someone who did so much to help deliver this success to our Club,” as he added that he wished he was “able to turn to him,” and celebrate together.
