Sky Announce Five Championship Matches For Broadcast Across May Bank Holiday 2023

Sky Sports have announced five Sky Bet Championship matches for broadcast across the May Bank Holiday 2023 weekend.

In addition to 18 matches already selected for live broadcast between 7 – 26 April, Sky will air five further matches from 27 April – Bank Holiday Monday 1 May, meaning that from 22 April – 1 May Sky will be airing ten Championship matches in ten days.

The first additional match sees Rotherham host Cardiff in a rearranged match on Thursday 27 April in a 8pm BST kick-off, after their clash last month was abandoned due to torrential rainfall early in the second half.

Sky will then air Millwall’s trip to Blackpool 24 hours later on Friday 28 April, in a clash with implications for the Play-Off and relegation battles respectively.

West Brom’s meeting against Norwich which could prove crucial in the race for a play-off spot will be broadcast live at 5:30pm on Saturday 29 April.

Cardiff’s potential crunch showdown against relegation rivals, Huddersfield will kick off at 12pm on Sunday 30 April, live on Sky Sports as both teams look to seize the initiative heading into the final matchweek.

Sky’s 10-day stripped run of selected second-tier fixtures broadcast live will conclude with Luton’s trip to Blackburn at Ewood Park on Bank Holiday Monday 1 May, with kick-off at 5:30pm which could prove decisive for Luton’s promotion hopes.
