Millwall moved up to fifth on goal difference after they scrapped their way to a goalless draw at West Bromwich Albion.
Blackburn round out the top six after suffering a surprise defeat at Birmingham City, as their former loanee, Reda Khadra scored a 61st minute winner for the Blues.

Down in the relegation zone, Wigan remain rock-bottom after they were hit with a points deduction in the international break, yet Max Power’s sixth minute penalty sealed a narrow home win over QPR after Danel Sinani had been fouled by Leon Balogun.
Blackpool remain second-bottom after Jerry Yates netted a late consolatory goal in a 3-1 defeat at Preston in the West Lancashire derby, with Brad Potts, Ben Whiteman and Tom Cannon all scoring for the hosts.
Cardiff remain outside of the relegation zone on goal difference after Ben Cabango struck an injury-time winner for Swansea to clinch a 3-2 away victory in the Welsh derby, during which Jaden Philogene and Sory Kaba had cancelled out goals from Joel Piroe and Liam Cullen to recover from 2-0 down.

Elsewhere, Tyrese Campbell and Ki-Jana Hoever both produced a goal and assist apiece as they helped Stoke cruise to a 4-0 away win at Coventry, during which Campbell assisted Jacob Brown’s sixth-minute opening goal and Will Smallbone collected the Potters’ third goal.
Lucas Joao came on from the bench to rescue Reading a 1-1 draw at Bristol City, as his 72nd minute equalising header cancelled out Tommy Conway’s first-half injury-time goal.
Finally, Rotherham clung on for a goalless draw at Hull despite finishing with ten men after Domingos Quina was red carded in the 79th minute, having denied Adama Traore a goalscoring opportunity with a foul.
