Arsenal and Manchester United will face Sporting Lisbon and Real Betis respectively following the Round of 16 draw in 2022-23 UEFA Europa League.
Arsenal received a bye to this stage after topping their group during the Group Stage and will now face Sporting Lisbon for a place in the Quarter-Finals, after Sporting eliminated Midtjylland in the Knockout Play-Offs.
Sporting Lisbon though are yet to beat Arsenal in all UEFA competitions, having drawn and lost two apiece of four previous meetings.
Man Utd’s reward for eliminating Barcelona in their Knockout Play-Off tie is another Spanish opponent, having drawn Group C winners, Real Betis, with the first leg played at home at Old Trafford.
Six-time Europa League champions, Sevilla meanwhile will face Turkey’s Fenerbahce in their Round of 16 tie.
Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma will take on Real Sociedad, who had received a bye to this stage after having topped Group E ahead of Man Utd.
Italy’s Juventus look to keep their sole trophy hopes of this season alive as they meet Germany’s SC Freiburg, after prevailing against Nantes in their Knockout Play-Off.
Ukraine’s Shakhtar Dontesk will look to continue doing their country proud as they take on Feyenoord for a spot in the last eight.
Elsewhere, Bayer Leverkusen’s reward for defeating AS Monaco on penalties is a tie against Hungary’s Ferencvaros.
Surprise Bundesliga title challengers, Union Berlin will face Belgium’s Union Saint-Gilloise in their third meeting of this season, having previously met twice in Group D of which both teams won 1-0 away from home.
First leg of the ties will be played on Thursday 9 March, with return legs scheduled for a week later on 16 March.
